Blackstone Ribeye with Sautéed Garlic Green Beans

Our easy Friday night dinner was this Blackstone Steak and Green Beans.

We received fresh green beans and garden tomatoes, so I stopped by the local butcher for steaks to complete the meal.

Some of my griddle recipes are more elaborate, but these straightforward dinners on the flat top are my favorites—the flavor is simple and satisfying.

How to make Blackstone Steak and Green Beans

Start by trimming the green beans and seasoning the steaks.

I used kosher salt, black pepper, and a steak seasoning blend.

Arrange the steaks, tomatoes, garlic, and butter on a tray, then head to your griddle.

prepped ingredients on a tray

Preheat the Blackstone to medium for a few minutes.

Add a little cooking oil, then the green beans with a sprinkle of kosher salt and pepper. I also added some of the steak seasoning to the beans for extra flavor.

Cook the green beans on the griddle for 4–5 minutes, flipping and stirring occasionally, then add the tomatoes and garlic.

The combination of green beans and tomatoes is wonderful—the tomatoes add brightness and a little juiciness to the beans.

Move the vegetables to one side, add a touch more oil, and place the steaks on the griddle.

Continue cooking for another 6–8 minutes total, flipping the steaks halfway through and stirring the green beans and tomatoes a few times so everything cooks evenly.

I cooked my steaks 3 minutes per side for medium-rare; for medium, aim for about 4 minutes per side. Adjust times based on steak thickness.

Toward the end, add butter—because butter improves almost everything. Toss a bit into the green beans and place a pat on each steak so it melts over the top.

  • cooking oil of choice
  • 1 pint cherry or grape tomatoes
